Our first use of donations is to develop and provide programming. This may include workshop materials, speaker fees, space rental, and other education-related costs. Funds are purposefully used to secure a wide variety of subject matter experts and learning resources.

One of our key guiding principles is to eliminate financial barriers to participation. As such, donations are commonly used to provide books and learning materials, or cover access costs (if/when applicable) for members who have applied for financial assistance.

We keep a lean budget, but general operating expenses are naturally unavoidable. Our goal is to ensure these types of costs make up no more than 20% of our total expenditures, so that is the maximum amount of donor support that we allocate to operational needs.
